Zenobia du Toit is a senior family law attorney and Director at Miller du Toit Cloete Inc in Cape Town, South Africa. She is a specialist in national and international family law. Her expertise includes specializing in all aspects of family law, related constitutional law issues, comparative law, international cases, Hague Conventions, high end financial disputes, trusts, ART, ADR, PNAs, children’s interests, LGBTQI issues and with a keen interest in developing family law. She is a mediator and arbitrator. She is chairperson of the Family Law Committee of the Law Society of South Africa and a member of the Family Law Committee of the International Bar Association. She has co-edited textbooks and has written numerous articles and presented at expert forums. She was an expert member of the 2013 HCCH Working Group on the Article 13(1)(b) Guide to Good Practice. Beyond practice, she has held leadership and community roles and contributed to South Africa’s constitutional transition. Her work significantly influences children’s rights, same-sex parenting, and international family-law development. She hosts an Annual Global MDT/UWC Family Law Conference in South Africa.
